SAP Transportation Management: Freight Units, Tendering, and the Charge That Has to Post
- SAP TM
- Transportation Management
- Freight settlement

- Logistics

SAP Transportation Management plans and executes freight: freight units, freight orders, tendering, Business Network for Logistics, charge calculation, and freight settlement that must post to MM and FI. It is not “the tracking screen.” If charges do not settle, TM is a toy and AP will keep paying from email.
The unique challenge is the charge: contracts, scales, accessorials, fuel, and the dispute with the carrier. Integration to EWM, SD, and MM is the other half. SR Soft staffs TM with a logistics process lead and a settlement/FI resource.
The challenges that actually break the program
- Planning that never becomes an executable freight order
- Tendering that carriers ignore because the Network is not their process
- Charge calculation that AP cannot explain
- Settlement that fails posting and sits in a queue
- TM and EWM designed by two SIs who do not speak
How SR Soft LLC staffs and delivers it
We prototype one lane: order, tender, execute, calculate, settle, post. We do not go live on planning alone. We pair TM with EWM when the warehouse is in scope. Freight is money.
